The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 5 May 2022: Seven day outlook for Sydney

Hmm …Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea???

TG won’t tell a lie. He hasn’t been in the surf for various busy reasons. But he can tell you the surf today was small, and actually not bad looking and uncrowded at a few spots he saw.

He can also tell you that at one end of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Pittwater and the Hawkesbury River are still a delightful shade of chocolate, which may be distributed in varying amounts to beaches to the south depending on winds and currents.

At the other end, Manly Creek/ Queenscliff Lagoon are a similar choccie colour which flows to Queenscliff-Manly or round the corner to Freshie. Sydney Water has thoughtfully put up a temporary (?) notice advising: “This area may be affected by sewage overflow… blah blah blah….We advise you to avoid the area,,.no swimming, no fishing, no dogs.”

And at places in between Palmie and Manly …???

Sigh.. TG guesses it comes down to personal choice and risk assessment.

In the words of Dirty Harry: You’ve Got To Ask Yourself One Question: ‘Do I Feel Lucky?’ Well do ya (…Harry says ‘Punk?’, but of course TG would never call you a Punk… unless he knows you really well).

A few sunny days ahead forecast by the Bureau, should help improve the bad water stuff.. temporarily at least.

Surf outlook is for small to medium waves ~~~~~

Friday: around 1-1+ metres East

Saturday: ditto

Sunday: ditto

Monday: same-oh East/South East

Tuesday: and again South East

Wednesday: starting to come up a little into the 1-2 metre rnage East

Thursday: ditto.

Stay well in and out of the water. Keep smiling.

TG.
