Scrappy Saturday surf conditions
Hello Friends,
Mostly cloudy skies as Saturday started, but there were a few breaks and the wind was light NNE before 0700. There’s a 95% chance of rain today and wind should pick up – but also swing to the SW. Primary swell is 1.2 metres from 162° (SE) at 8 seconds. Water’s on 23C. As the pictures show, conditions were sloppy and around the waist high mark at Dee Why. First tide of the day is a 1.6 m high just before 0800.
Outlook is for the wind to go SE by tomorrow morning and it’ll stay that way into Monday – although the early session may not be too bad. Swell should gradually get more easterly over the next few days and as we head into next week the average period should get into the 9-10 second range as size hangs around the 1.5 m range. I’m hoping predicitions pan out for morning offshores from Monday onward.
Go well with your Saturday!
