Lumpy at Dee Why

0 100

Hello Friends,

High tide was swamping it at Dee Why this morning. Only one person was out chasing the occasional head plus sets, but having very little luck. Wind was a brisk 15-30 kt SW’r at 0930. Swell at sea was 4 metres at 9 seconds from the south, but the quality was not great given the tide. Wind is set to go southerly and pick up into the 30-40kt range by this afternoon. That should see more swell come ashore but surf options will be minimal. And water is still dodgy lots of places.

I’m keeping the powder dry and waiting to see what the Mighty Goat has to say later…

Go well!

Weather Situation

A deep low off the northern New South Wales coast is drifting away from the coast and will move southwards over the Tasman Sea during the remainder of the week. Strong to gale force winds and large waves will be generated over all coastal waters associated with the low. Uncertainty remains about the timing, position and strength of this system but it is likely that there will be a gradual easing trend in the winds from the north during the weekend.
