Grey with extra special flatness
Hello Friends,
RealSurf HQ powered back up this morning thanks to the hardworking folk who’ve been repairing wires all over our area. Wind turned straight south at 0500 and as of 0800 was pushing along at 7-12 kts. As the picture shows, Dee Why’s basically flat under grey skies. Out at sea the swell is 1.2 metres at 7 seconds from the east.
From the look of the Bureau’s forecast and the latest swell models, we’re not shaping to have much in the way of swell until maybe early next week when the wind picks up from the SE. The models showing it blowing hard and steadily for a couple of days, so there won’t be many surf options around. Maybe toward NYE…
Go well, mask up and stay safe.
Weather Situation
A trough lies over central coast bringing a southerly wind change as it moves further north, the trough will reach the Mid North Coast where it will stall and weaken later today. After this, the trough will linger while a ridge of high pressure extends along the southern coast.
