Not much left for surfers this morning
Hello Friends,
The swell faded away overnight and this morning saw only waist high set wave faces along the beach. The point appears to be off the menu for now. Out at sea the swell is 1.2 metres at 6 seconds from the NE and as of 0630 the wind was WNW at 2 kts. First tide of the daylight hours is a 1.5 m at 0700. It should be partly cloudy with a high of 25C.
Wind should reach 15-25 kts from the NE this afternoon, but it doesn’t look as though wave energy will improve noticeably. According to the Bureau, the uninspiring conditions aren’t expected to improve for the next couple of days. The swell models are showing a 2 metre-ish east pulse starting to fill in from Friday and right now, the more hopeful predictions are looking hopeful for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Go well with your Tuesday everyone!
Weather Situation
A high over the southern reaches of the Tasman Sea will drift slowly towards New Zealand over the next few days.
