Drizzly, weak and tiny
Hello Friends,
Gloomy and tiny-wave morning along the beaches as we vaccinated types are permitted to come out of most lockdown restrictions.
(According to the latest stats the 15+ population of the Northern Beaches is 92.5% has had its first vaccination and 76.3% of us have had our second dose. Count me among the cautiously hopeful, but I’ll still be packing the mask when I go out.)
As of 0830 the wind was SW 10-15kt and out at sea the 8-second period SSE bump was close to the 2.7m. But you’d be lucky to get a slow moving knee to waist high bump this morning at Dee Why.
There’s no real change to the outlook in this morning’s swell models, which is to say that things are shaping to be tiny to flat until the end of the work week when we could see a slight uptick. Looks like a good week for work and school and generally catching up on things.
Go well everyone!
Weather Situation
A coastal southerly change will continue heading north and become slow moving off the far north coast near Queensland border, then deepen to a low pressure system on Tuesday before weakening. Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure will extend from the south later Monday into Tuesday then drift away on Wednesday as the next cold front approaches from the west.
