Desperates only this morning

0 6

Hello Friends,

Wind had been pushing along at around 8-10 kts from the NNE by 0630 this morning, so the day kicked off with choppy surface conditions already in place. The day started sunny, but the Bureau tells us we’re heading into a showery stretch over the rest of the work week. Swell at sea as of 0700 was 1.1m from 70° (ENE) at a gutless 7 seconds. If you didn’t mind junky, onshore and dumpy conditions (tide was low at 0710), it looked like there might be the odd wobbly waist plus wave face to be had at Dee Why beach.

The marginal conditions look set to last through tomorrow, but come Friday morning the NE windswell may have accumulated a little more energy and some of the semi-exposed north corners could have a little wave.

Go well with your Wednesday everyone, and stay safe!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is combining with a trough over South Australia to bring increasing northerly winds to the New South Wales coast for the coming days. This trough will linger over western parts of the state until late Friday or Saturday, when it finally reaches the Tasman Sea and will cause winds to shift south to southwesterly.
