Sideshore, small and scrappy on Friday morning
Hello Friends,
A mild, sunny and breezy start to Friday along the beaches. Wind down at North Head was out of the north at 9-10 kts before 0800. Swell at sea was 1.7 metres but only 6-7 seconds apart. It was coming from the NE, and given the wind direction, it looked to be kinda lumpy and bumpy and in the knee to waist high range at Dee Why beach. There wasn’t enough going on to make waves at the point, so the exercisers in the water were scattered along the beach break peaks. Ocean temp is sitting on 19C according to Beachwatch and our weather outlook is for a high of 24C along the beaches with wind getting into the 20-30 kt range from the N-NE.
Being a Friday morning, we have a freshly baked surf forecast from the Goat for our contemplation. He’s calling it Extra Useful, so jump on over there to get the words of surf wisdom!
Hope your Friday turns out to be a satisfactory one and that you stay masked and safe when you’re out and about.
