The Goat’s Extra Useful Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 2 September 2021: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Why is it an Extra Useful Forecast??? you say…

Because TG has some Rooly Useful Tips for you>>>

First Tip – Never ask a young bloke what the water temp is like.

Be especially dubious if the reply is “It’s really nice”, and there’s a howling cool Noreaster blowing..

Why?

Because young blokes

a.  don’t feel the cold.

b.  young blokes have no idea what “really nice” water temperatures are like.

In fairness, he was wearing a wettie (I was not) and he did say as an afterthought… “It’s refreshing”… Uh huh.

Second Tip –  Keep up to date with the latest Covid Rules (masks, penalties blah blah) …

Conveniently here >>> https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules

Why?

Because if you’re anything like TG, even though TG has an instinctive individual streak and forgets things at times, and like everyone else he doesn’t have time to read all this stuff all the time …

He knows that his Magic Plastic Card provides him with food and other things he wants.

Why would he want to be a Silly Goat and give some of his money to the Government!?!  (Apart from not wanting to catch or spread anything).

Third Tip – Have Fun and Laugh a Lot!!

For the next few days it’ll be Noreast windsurf but rideable if you don’t mind the wind, then depending on what a Low expected to form down South does, the surf will be windy and messy coming up from the South.. might settle a bit by Tuesdayish…

Friday:  in the 1-2 metre range North East

Saturday: ditto

Sunday: ditto at first before a southerly change making it choppy and messy and starting to come up a little – depending on the Low’s movement

Monday: around the 2-3 metre range South, though a big period should see it get into some corners

Tuesday: dittoish

Wednesday: easing back a bit, say 2-2+ metres South

Thursday: easing back more, say around 1-1+ metres South East.

Save your own money> and enjoy yourself.
