All’s quiet on the eastern front
Hello Friends,
The short version: it’s ankle to calf high – on sets.
A drizzly and smoky start to Saturday morning along the beaches. Out at sea, the swell had a healthy 16-second period but it was close to dead south and only 0.8 metres. Wind was out of the NW at 7-10 kts. The weather should clear up later but there’s no real prospect of an improvement to the surf on the charts for this weekend.
Right now it looks as though we’ll be waiting until Monday for a slight improvement, but then mid week is shaping to be a bit more interesting. Right now the models are saying we could have 2+ metres hitting the south magnet spots.
Go well with your Saturday one and all, stay safe and mask up if you’re going out!
