Pumping Wednesday
Hello Friends,
You could hear the swell at RealSurf HQ this morning, so I wasn’t surprised to see pumping swell when I climbed up to the crows nest to grab some snaps. As you can see, the sets are solidly overhead and surface conditions are super clean (the southerly didn’t hit as hard as had been anticipated). Lots of folks getting their daily exercise too. Presumably the crowds are all coming from within the Dee Why bubble (see below).
Swell at sea was 3 metres at 12 seconds from 169° (S by SSE) and wind was coming lightly from the WNW. Winds should stay favourable all day as the swell gradually fades back into the 2 metre range. By tomorrow, it looks like being back into the waist to chest high range and then it gets smaller still on the models as we get up to the weekend.
Stay safe everyone!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Adelaide extends a ridge towards the state, and this high will be the dominant feature as it slowly moves across the state during the mid week. The high will move into the Tasman Sea as a front brushes the south during the latter part of the week.
