Swell just hanging in there
Hello Friends,
We had waves in the waist to maybe chest high range on the sets. At 0830 wind was out of the NNW at just 3-4 kts. Out at sea, the swell was 1.3 metres at a reasonable 12 seconds and coming from the SE (130°). Tide was rising to the 0930 1.4 m high and skies were mostly sunny on a day that should get to 22C along the beaches. Water’s on 18C.
Outlook is for the energy to fade across the day and for the waves to be smaller again tomorrow. The models don’t look too interesting from Thursday into the weekend. The more hopeful predictions are showing another small, straight south pulse turning up around Monday…
Go well, stay safe and take the mask!

Northwesterly winds will increase as a cold front approaches from the west, then this front will bring a southwesterly change to the southern waters late on Wednesday before weakening as it stalls over the northern waters on Thursday.
