Swell day for Dee Why

0 29

Hello Friends,

At 0800 we had sunny skies, light westerly wind at 9-12 kts and a 2 metre 10-11 second SSE swell delivering chest to head high wave faces on the better sets. It looked to be missing the point and to be bigger up toward the middle part of the beach. Could be pretty fun for those of us lucky enough to have a beach in our bubble.

Tide was a modest 1.2 m high at 0610 and we’ll be back to low at 1140. Ocean temp is 18C.

It’s Thursday, so check back later for the Goat’s precious pearls of surf wisdom.

Stay safe and take the mask when you go out, there’s a killer virus on the loose.

Weather Situation

Vigorous west to southwesterly winds due to a front and low in the Tasman Sea, easing as the low moves toward New Zealand today and tomorrow, and a new high moves over NSW over the weekend.
