Big floaty things required

Hello Friends,

Another glorious morning for exercising at the seaside – for those of us lucky enough to live in a coastal LGA. If you’re unable to get the board to the beach, fear not, you’re missing nothing of consequence. Dee Why was seeing wavelets in the ankle to knee high range as Sunday morning kicked into gear. Weather was sunny and as mild as a late spring day. Out at sea the swell was a shade under the metre mark and coming from the NE at just 6 seconds apart. Wind was out of the NW at 12-17 kts under clear blue skies. The radar is showing a band of showery stuff off to the south and west of Sydney, and the forecast says we have a the 60% chance of showers, mostly likely near dusk. We should see a high of 24C.

Tomorrow has an 80% chance of rainfall in the 2-5mm range. Wind’s expected to be light but onshore and the models tell us to expect dead south 1.5 m, 8 second bump; kinda, sorta maybe surf prospects.

From Tuesday onward the dominant swell direction looks like it may swing to the east, and overnight Wednesday the models show it pulsing into the 1.5-2 metre range along with W-WSW wind and cool but sunny weather for Thursday. With luck it should still be surfable on Friday morning.

Go well with your day, get that jab organised if you haven’t already and take the mask when you leave home.
