Surfing is defined by our relationship to the ocean. Which makes us all custodians of that thing that brings us so much joy. Zag is firmly aboard the sustainability train. But we could do better. Our mags are printed through an FSC certified printer, ensuring our paper is green and harvested promoting environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests. Beyond this, the ink used to bring these surfy thoughts and images to life are vegetable-based, meaning they are compostable and far better for the environment than their petroleum-based counterparts. The final hurdle we are yet to clear is our plastic bagging. Get this right and you can literally throw your whole mag into the compost bin when you’re finished reading it and stoking out, (not that you’d want to, as we strive to make every Zigzag a collector’s item, but you get the gist).
