FIFPRO wins seat on UEFA Executive Committee in boost for player power

February 12 – World players’ union FIFPRO has won a seat on the UEFA Executive Committee, the highest decision-making body in European football.
Current FIFPRO Europe President David Terrier will represent the union and players on the executive committee for a three-year term. Terrier had been an observer at the past three executive committee meetings.
In a statement FIFPRO called it “a landmark development that will strengthen the relationship with between the players’ union and the European confederation.”
FIFPRO Europe President David Terrier said: “European football has today made an important stride towards fair and inclusive governance.
