Wenger’s offside rule proposal could still see the light of day as CPL lined up as test league
January 21 – The Canadian Premier League could become the next testing ground for one of the most radical law changes football has debated in recent years, with the league set to trial Arsène Wenger’s so-called ‘daylight’ offside rule.
The proposal was presented this week at the International Football Association Board’s (IFAB) annual business meeting in London. It will now move on to its annual general meeting in Cardiff on February 28, where formal approval for a trial is expected to be discussed.
