Oklahoma's football team wraps up non-conference play this Saturday and they'll have a new starter at quarterback.
OU will host Kent State at 3:00 pm on SEC Network, with Michael Hawkins starting in place of the injured John Mateer.
Mateer is recovering from hand surgery, and Hawkins will get the start.
He made four starts last season after replacing the ineffective Jackson Arnold, then lost the job back to Arnold for the end of the season.
OU is coming out of an off week and are 4-0 and ranked fifth in the latest Associated Press poll.
