SEC Honors Two Sooners

0 2

Two Oklahoma football players were honored with Southeastern Conference weekly awards on Monday.

OU defensive end R Mason Thomas is the co-SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week.

Thomas had four tackles and two sacks, including the game-clinching one that produced a safety in the Sooners' 24-17 win over Auburn last Saturday.

Thomas only played in the second half since he had to sit out the first half due to being flagged for a targeting penalty in OU's last game against Temple.

Punter Grayson Miller was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Miller punted five times for an average of 54.4 yards per punt, with a long punt of 66 yards that pinned the Tigers inside their own 5-yard line.

The weekly honors are the third and fourth of the season for Oklahoma.
