Khaos Williams fights Uros Medic at UFC 316
UFC 316 is adding a welterweight slugfest to its card.
On Tuesday, Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that Khaos Williams faces Uros Medic in a 170-pound fight at UFC 316 on June 7 at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Al Zullino was the first to report the matchup.
Joining the UFC in 2020, Williams made a name for himself as a knockout artist, with stoppages over Alex Morono, Abdul Razak Alhassan, Miguel Baeza, and Carlston Harris. Most recently, Williams lost by technical submission to Gabriel Bonfim after falling asleep in Bonfim’s brabo choke at UFC Vegas 102 in February.
Entering the UFC off of Contender Series in 2021, Medic began his promotional career as a lightweight before bumping back up to 170 pounds in 2023. In seven UFC bouts, Medic has a 4-3 record, with all fights ending by way of stoppage. Most recently, Medic got knocked out in just 31 seconds by Punahele Soriano at UFC Vegas 101 in January.
UFC 316 is headlined by a bantamweight title rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley, with a women’s bantamweight title fight between Julianna Peña and Kayla Harrison serving as the co-main event.
