Dustin Poirier, wife expecting second child after retirement fight at UFC 318

The Poirier family is going to have another addition at the end of the year.

Days after Dustin Poirier announced his retirement fight with Max Holloway for the BMF title in July at UFC 318, Poirier’s wife Jolie revealed some other massive news announcing that they are expecting their second child in December.

“Fight news wasn’t the only secret we were keeping from you… WE’RE HAVING A BABY! Sweet P will be a BIG SISTER FINALLY,” Poirier wrote.

“The Diamond” is set to make the walk one last time in the main event of the UFC’s July pay-per-view card, which takes place close to home for Poirier in New Orleans. Poirier and Holloway battle for the third time, which includes Holloway’s octagon debut in 2012, and their interim lightweight title fight in the main event of UFC 236 — where Poirier was victorious in both bouts.

Holloway captured the BMF title with an all-time memorable knockout of Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 in April 2024.
