Tony Ferguson vs. Dillon Danis, other bouts announced for GFL doubleheader in May
The Global Fight League has officially announced their first two events, which will be a two-night slate in Los Angeles in May.
GFL announced the events and lineups via a press release on Monday for their inaugural events on May 24 and 25 at Shrine Auditorium. According to the announcement, all six teams — Los Angeles, New York, London, Dubai, São Paulo, and Miami — “will be competing across 31 bouts, over two days, spanning ten different weight classes with the most unique and diverse fight cards in MMA history.”
The May 24 card will feature bouts such as MMA trilogy fights between Urijah Faber and Renan Barao, and Anthony Pettis and Benson Henderson.
Highlighting the May 25 card is a matchup between former UFC interim lightweight champ Tony Ferguson facing Dillon Danis, along with the mixed martial arts return of ex-UFC fighter Paige VanZant.
As of now, the GFL has not announced where fans will be able to watch the events, although the release states an announcement is expected sometime in April.
