UFC Vegas 103 live blog: Manel Kape vs. Asu Almabayev

This is the live blog for Manel Kape vs. Asu Almabayev, the flyweight main event for Saturday’s UFC Vegas 103 fight card at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Kape enters his first UFC headliner coming off of the best promotional performance against Bruno Silva at UFC Tampa in December, finishing his fellow-ranked opponent in the third round. Prior to that, the former RIZIN champ lost a controversial decision to Muhammad Mokaev at UFC 304 this past July — which snapped a four-fight win streak.

Almabayev also makes the walk for his first promotional main event, and looks to extend his incredible win streak to 18 straight fights. Now 4-0 in the UFC, the Kazakhstan standout attempts to win his fourth fight in less than 12 months after going 3-0 in 2024 with wins over CJ Vergara, Jose Johnson, and Matheus Nicolau.
