Cowboys Never Trail in Home Win Over Utah

Oklahoma State's men's basketball team never trailed and led by as many as 15 points on their way to an 81-72 win over Utah on Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.

The Cowboys shot 49 percent from the field and were 27-for-36 at the free throw line to earn their third Big 12 win.

Bryce Thompson led OSU with 20 points and was 4-for-4 from three-point range.

Marchelus Avery was the only other Cowboy in double figures with 17 points.

OSU started the game on a 19-7 run, then after Utah answered with an 8-0 run, the Cowboys extended the lead to eight at halftime, 41-33, and never let the Utes closer than six points in the second half.

OSU improves to 11-10 overall, 3-7 in Big 12 play.

The Cowboys evened the season series with Utah after losing by 21 in Salt Lake City three weeks ago.

OSU visits Houston Tuesday night at 7:00 pm.
