Thunder Rally But Lose at Dallas
The Oklahoma City Thunder fell behind by 20 points at halftime, then started the second half on a 26-to-6 run to get back in it, before losing at Dallas 106-98 on Friday night at the American Airlines Center.
The Thunder were playing without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who was out with a wrist injury, while the Mavericks were without the injured Luka Doncic.
OKC made 20 three-pointers but shot just 39 percent from the field, while the Mavs made 49 percent from the floor.
The Thunder briefly took the lead late in the third quarter and early in the fourth, but Klay Thompson made a three-pointer to give the Mavs the lead for good with 7:35 to play.
All five Thunder starters scored in double figures, with Jalen Williams leading OKC with 19 points.
Luguentz Dort scored 18 points and made five three-pointers.
Jaylin Williams and Aaron Wiggins both had 12 points and Cason Wallace 10.
Kyrie Irving led Dallas with 25 points, with Spencer Dinwiddie and P.J. Washington adding 16 points each.
The Thunder fall to 34-7 on the season.
