Big Second Half Leads Thunder Over Sacramento
In a game with 17 ties and 17 lead changes, most in the first half, the Oklahoma City Thunder took charge in the second half with 13-2 third quarter run and went on to beat the Sacramento Kings 130-109 on Monday night at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
Jalen Williams scored four straight baskets in the fourth quarter to put the game away and finished with 28 points.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers with 37 points, hit four three-pointers and dished out 11 assists for the Thunder, who were opening a four-game road trip.
The win ended a seven-game losing streak at Sacramento, with OKC's last win coming in January of 2020.
The Thunder shot 56 percent from the field, made 14 three-pointers, and outrebounded the Kings 44-31.
Isaiah Hartenstein had 17 points and 10 rebounds in his second game for OKC.
Two Thunder players scored in double figures off the bench, with Ajay Mitchell scoring 15 points and Kenrich Williams 10 points.
The Thunder improve to 13-4 on the season, and will continue their road trip Wednesday when they visit Golden State at 9:00 pm.
