A Georgia student drilled a $400K field goal on GameDay and college fans want him signed

If the Georgia Bulldogs decide they need a new kicker this season, they won’t have to look too far on campus to find a replacement.

Henry Silver of Fishers, Indiana already proved he’s ready for the job.

Silver was given an opportunity to kick a field goal for $400,000 — and an additional $400,000 for hurricane relief — on ESPN’s College GameDay in Athens, Georgia ahead of the Bulldogs’ matchup with Tennessee.

All he had to do was get the ball through the uprights from 33 yards away. Instead, the former soccer player absolutely blasted a kick that would’ve been good from at least 45 yards away.

He collected his giant check from Pat McAfee as stunned college fans immediately began clamoring for Silver to walk onto an NCAA team.

We’ve seen quite a few kicks on GameDay‘s field goal challenge — some much better than others — but this might be the most impressive one yet.

Despite the pressure of the crowd, the money and the national audience watching at home, Silver was as cool as could be. Someone needs to sign him immediately.
