49ers at Eagles injury report: Armstead, Kinlaw look good to go

WHITE SULFUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — The aftermath of an injury-riddled season opener means the 49ers (1-0) won’t be at full strength in Sunday’s visit to the Philadelphia Eagles (1-0).

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw’s core-muscle surgery will keep him out and eventually make him the third starter to go on Injured Reserve from the opener, following running back Raheem Mostert and cornerback Jason Verrett with season-ending knee injuries.

Friday’s walk-through saw defensive linemen Javon Kinlaw (knee) and Arik Armstead (adductor) participate a second straight day after not practicing Wednesday, and both are questionable to play, as is linebacker Marcell Harris (oblique).

Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (knee) is doubtful after suiting up for more individual conditioning on the side; he’s missed two weeks since his injury in practice.

GREENLAW’S INJURY

Greenlaw’s core-muscle or groin injury has bothered him since training camp.

“It started to get better and he tweaked it on the pick-six,” Shanahan said of Greenlaw’s 39-yard interception return for a touchdown that forced him out before halftime. “Guys who’ve usually had that (surgery) are around four to six weeks (of recovery). Hoping it’s that. You never know.”

EAGLES INJURIES

The Eagles have had their own injury issues after their own season-opening road win (at Atlanta). Safety Rodney McLeod (knee) is out and safety Marcus Epps (concussion) is questionable.
