Carlos Carrasco gets standing ovation before first pitch since being diagnosed with leukemia

Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco walked out to the mound in the seventh inning in Tampa on Sunday for his first appearance since being diagnosed with a treatable form leukemia in June when something awesome happened.

Both teams and the fans at Tropicana Field gave the veteran right hander a standing ovation in what was just an incredible moment that made Carrasco emotional before throwing his first pitch.

Francisco Lindor, the Indians star shortstop, gave Carrasco a hug before the pitcher settled down and pitched an inning of relief.

Here’s the awesome moment for Carrasco, who has started 12 games this year for the Indians:
