Murray posted the video in an unspecified location with the caption: “It’s a start.”

The two-time Wimbledon champion went under the knife to resurface his hip in January in a desperate bid to play at the All England Club this year.

An emotional Murray at the Australian Open admitted that tournament could be his last because he was in too much pain.

But the three-time Grand Slam champion vowed to try and make it to the summer and play in front of his home crowd where he won in 2013 and 2016.

And his latest Instagram post will leave fans optimistic and hopeful that he will be playing on Centre Court at the height of summer again.

COMING BACK?

Murray, 31, could become the first professional player to return to the game having had a metal hip socket fitted.

The Scottish icon admitted he would only attempt to play at Wimbledon if he felt he could be competitive and he wouldn’t damage his body even more.

Wimbledon begins on July 1 this year and Murray will hope to play a warm-up event – possibly at Queen’s Club or Eastbourne – before he takes on SW19.

He recently said: “I would hate to go on the court at Wimbledon and for something bad to happen or to feel really bad and apprehensive and for it to go really badly.

“I wouldn’t want that to happen. I just wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that, going straight into a slam without having any preparation or seeing how it feels. This is a big surgery and operation I’ve had.

“The main reason for having the operation was to not be in pain any more, and I’m not. I’m delighted with that. What happens next, I don’t know exactly.

“If my hip allows me to do that without pain and I can still enjoy it then I’d like to try. But if I can’t, then I can’t, and I’ll be happy I’m not in pain every day.”
