CIES highlights young goalkeepers set to take football by storm
April 30 – The latest release from the CIES Football Observatory focuses on one of the game’s less desired markets – young goalkeepers – and highlights how valuation and reality do not always move in step.
At the top sits 20-year-old Mike Penders, on loan at RC Strasbourg from sister club Chelsea, with an estimated value of €47 million. His loan move has aided this rise to the top – with the young Belgian having played close to 5,000 senior minutes.
