Police arrest 11 suspects in Northern Region crackdown on internet fraud, drugs
The Ghana Police Service Northern Regional Special Operations Team has arrested 11 suspects, including a 17-year-old, during an operation targeting internet fraud and drug peddling. The exercise, led by C/Inspector Abu Issahaku on March 30, 2026, focused on the Yung and Wamale areas and led to the retrieval of nine laptops, 11 mobile phones, three SIM cards and substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
