KU softball's Jennifer McFalls joins K-Nation one-on-one

LAWRENCE (KSNT) – In 2024, KU softball turned in its best season since head coach Jennifer McFalls took over the program in 2018. A sign that AD Travis Goff's extension of McFalls' contract was a good investment.

K-Nation's Landon Reinhardt sat down with McFalls one-on-one as the non-conference slate comes to a close.

With softball powerhouses Oklahoma and Texas no longer a part of the Big 12, McFalls was asked if that paves way for the Jayhawks to enter the top spot in the conference.

"The Big 12 is always going to be tough," McFalls said. "Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Arizona, just a really strong conference, all away across the board ... We've just got to continue to focus on us and continue getting better."

The Jayhawks lost some key seniors after the 2024 season, but the 2025 roster still features plenty of familiar faces.

"We return quite a few of our starters," McFalls said. "This particular senior class ... those kids are doing a lot for this program. We just have a really, really strong junior class as well ... It's exciting to see what we can do right now."

McFalls and Reinhardt also discuss the hitting of Aynslee Linduff, the pitching of Santa Fe Trail freshman Kaelee Washington and more.

The full interview with McFalls aired in Sunday’s episode of K-Nation and can be watched above. K-Nation airs every Sunday night following 27 News at 10, only on KSNT.
