[Softball] Softball Falcons Picked Third in KCAC Preseason Poll
WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Softball Falcons have been picked to finish third in the KCAC Softball Coaches' Preseason Poll, the league released today (Jan. 18).
The Falcons also received votes in the NAIA Coaches' Preseason Top 25 poll that came out earlier this week.
Ottawa University, the defending KCAC regular season champion, was chosen to win the league again this season after receiving eight first-place votes.
Tabor College was picked second with two first-place votes, with the Falcons right behind in third and getting one first-place nod.
Kansas Wesleyan University came in fourth, with Oklahoma Wesleyan University rounding out the top five and garnering the other first-place tally.
Friends finished third last season in the KCAC with a 16-6 league record along with a 33-13 overall mark.
The Falcons will begin the 2018 season by competing in the TAMU Classic on Feb. 2-3 in Texarkana, Texas.
The home opener for the Falcons will be one week later, on Feb. 10 against Central Methodist University at Two Rivers Youth Complex.
