we had a full groom team out this afternoon grooming the new snow. We received about 5 inches of heavy dense snow which is perfect for filling in over the old firm base. Many passes to keep up with the storm.

Wully Bully, Pig Heart and Crasher were out grooming skate lanes this morning for 3 hours; The main trails are still grooming up well with texture. Yes there are some icy spots in the flat, low areas, but they are flat and frozen.

the skiing today was reported as better than Friday , but faster than Saturday w the 45-47 degree temps. The Pisten bully improved conditions on most of the trails it treaded on but where I lifted the tiller to avoid dirt it was a bit chunky.

We had a good turnout today for the early season snow. The groomers worked hard this morning to renovate about 20 km of skate lanes for the 9 AM skiers. Most skiers arrived as the classic tracks were softening about mid day.

Pig Heart and Snowcross were out this early am doing touch up grooming and shoveling in on on some of the low spots that were icy. We put up a few signs, clipped some brush and had a great morning watching the sunrise on pit point.

I cannot say how fun it was to see all our skier friends on the trail and in the ski cabin. I got an earlier start this morning with the larger Pisten Bully and groomed up a few k before 6 AM when the crew came in.

what an exciting day of grooming! We spent most of the day grooming for our opener tommorow. I just came in with the Pisten Bully and the trails are looking good. They are freezing down well. We have a crew to finish the grooming in the early am hours.
