Two teens, two men arrested in connection with Haffen Park shooting
THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — Two teenagers and two men now face murder charges for the deadly shooting at Haffen Park during a basketball tournament on Saturday night, police announced.
The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, where five people were shot. 32-year-old Jaceil Banks was killed and a girl, 17, was shot in the face, according to police. Others were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The teen boys arrested, ages 16 and 17, both face numerous charges, including murder, four counts of attempted murder, gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Daeven Reyes, 20, faces the same charges and 25-year-old Robert Royal, of the Bronx, was charged with the same, excluding gang assault.
All were arrested and charged around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Police are continuing the investigation.
