UPDATE 6:33 P.M.: Rayne Police have announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with this morning's attempted first-degree murder investigation.

Landon Thompson, 17, has been taken into custody and will be booked into an Acadia Parish jail. His bond has been set at $500,000.

A 16-year-old juvenile suspect has also been arrested and is currently being held without bond at a Lafayette juvenile detention center.
