Albany police investigating alleged shooting incident on Sherman Street
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Police Department is investigating an alleged shooting incident that occurred early Sunday morning. The incident reportedly happened on the 100 block of Sherman Street.
At about 5:30 a.m., Albany police officers responded to the scene following reports of a person with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, authorities reportedly found a 30-year-old woman inside a car with a gunshot wound to her torso.
Further investigation determined that the victim was shot while sitting inside the vehicle, police said. The woman was treated on scene by emergency personnel before being taken to Albany Medical Center with reported non-life-threatening injuries.
