1 dead, multiple injured in nightclub shooting early Sunday morning

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- One person is dead and several others were injured following a shooting early Sunday morning in the 3500 block of South Choctaw Drive near Acadian Thruway.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office identified the person who was killed as Prenesha Wagner, 25.
Emergency medical services officials said they were called around 1:30 a.m. One victim was transported by ambulance, while others may have been taken to the hospital in another vehicle, according to an EMS spokesperson.
This is a developing story. Authorities have not yet released details about the victims or the events leading up to the shooting.
