Albany police investigating early morning shooting incident
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Police Department is currently investigating an alleged shooting incident that occurred Saturday morning. According to authorities, the incident took place in the area of First Street and Lexington Avenue.
At about 4:30 a.m., police officers reportedly responded to the scene following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a 38-year-old man with injuries to his face, authorities said.
An investigation determined that the 38-year-old had allegedly been shot at while sitting inside a vehicle. The department said his injuries were caused by a window shattering during the incident.
The victim was treated on scene before being transported to Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
