2 men arrested in fatal Bronx shooting: NYPD
Bronx, N.Y (PIX11) -- Two men were arrested after a man was killed and another injured in a double shooting in the Bronx last month, police said Wednesday.
Raul Camuez, 33, of the Bronx, and New Jersey resident Marcus Toolsie, 37, were arrested Monday and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, according to authorities.
John Medina, 35, was shot multiple times in the body, and a 42-year-old man was shot in the groin near Bruckner Boulevard and East 136th Street in Mott Haven at 10:35 p.m. April 22, according to the NYPD.
Medina died at the hospital the following day, police said. The other victim survived the shooting.
It was unclear what prompted the violence.
Camuez and Toolsie pleaded not guilty at their arraignment Tuesday and are being held without bail, according to court records.
Their attorneys could not be reached on Wednesday.
