Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded at approximately 11:20 p.m. April 23 to a drive-by shooting on South John Hardy Drive in Abbeville. Deputies said the house was struck multiple times by gunfire, and no injuries were reported.

While on scene, detectives learned that Abbeville Police received calls about 15 minutes later of shots fired near the 1100 block of South State Street.

Officials said .40 caliber casings were found at both locations.

Abbeville Police stopped Perro at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and South East Street after a traffic violation, where Perro initially refused to exit the vehicle. After several minutes, Perro surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident, officials said.

The vehicle was seized and upon obtaining a search warrant, more evidence was located inside of the vehicle, authorities said.

According to Vermilion Parish Sheriff Eddie Langlinais, Perro confirmed to detectives that she had conducted both shootings on the night of April 23.
