1 injured, 1 killed in Schenectady shooting

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police are investigating after two people were shot Thursday evening in the city of Schenectady. The incident took place around 7:20 p.m. on Northend Drive.
Police were called for a report of an altercation. When they arrived at the scene, they heard gunshots coming from inside. A woman came out of the home with a gunshot wound to her torso, and a man was found inside the home with a gunshot wound to the head.
The woman was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown. The man was pronounced dead.
Police believe the two knew each other, and there is no known threat to the public. Names are not being released until family has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing.
