City park shooting in Conway, Arkansas leaves at least two killed, nine injured

A shooting happened at the 5th Avenue park in Conway, Arkansas on Sunday night that left two people dead and nine others injured. The nine people are in stable condition at area hospitals, said Conway police. A spokesperson for the police department did not release any more details Monday morning, if investigators had a person of interest or how the shooting started. The park is ten acres in size and has sport facilities available to the public.
People are not to go near the area of the shooting as processing more information is continuing. Police said that eleven people were shot in total. The shooting happened at the city park, which is located about 27 miles from the capital, of Little Rock.
KATV received police dispatch audio from when the shooting first began. KATV claimed that there was a gathering between the University of Central Arkansas and the University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff, and that the universities did not endorse or approve the gathering, with one of them even noting that its logo was being used without authorization.
