Suspect in fatal Pittsfield shooting sentenced to life in prison

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- A Bronx man was sentenced to life in prison for a murder that happened in Pittsfield in 2018. Lance Burke, 46, was first convicted of first-degree murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a loaded firearm.
Prosecutors said Burke killed David Green Jr. in November 2018 while Green was sitting in his car on Willow Street. Burke was originally tried in 2024; however, a mistrial was declared after a hung jury.
In addition to the life sentence for his murder charge, Burke was also sentenced to three to five years for illegal possession of a loaded firearm.
