Shooting in Schenectady leaves one injured
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- There was a shooting that left one man injured in Schenectady on Saturday around 6 a.m., according to the Schenectady Police Department. Police said the man was shot in the leg by an unknown suspect.
It is alleged that the suspect approached the victim while he and his friends were inside a vehicle and attempted to rob them before they fled on foot. Police said the victim reported being shot in the leg when trying to flee.
The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment. Police said they are not sure where the initial incident occurred, but they believe it could have happened near South Brandywine Avenue.
