APD looking for suspects in shooting at parking lot of northeast Austin nightclub
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department is looking for two suspects who were allegedly involved in a shooting that left a man injured on Sunday.
APD officers responded to the Diablas parking lot, located at 900 E. Braker Lane, shortly after 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 19 and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The parking lot of Diablas is the same area where a man was shot and killed on Halloween night last year.
APD said that during the investigation, officers discovered that the victim and another man were involved in a "verbal altercation" that escalated and turned physical.
One of the suspects then shot the victim, according to police. Both victims fled the scene.
Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic man, around 5'8"-5'10" in height, with a tattoo on his right hand, and was last seen wearing a black hat with white lettering in the front, a black jacket, Khaki/tan pants, and black shoes.
Suspect #2 is described as a Black man around 5’08” -5’10” in height, bald, and was last seen wearing a backward black hat, a black Adidas tracksuit, and a large silver necklace with a large medallion.
The suspect vehicle was a white Chevrolet Suburban, 2015-2020.
