Police investigate Rotterdam shooting outside local taproom
ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Rotterdam Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday night in a parking lot near Fritz's Taproom. Law enforcement said one man is in stable condition after being shot in the abdomen.
Police responded to Fritz's Taproom on Hamburg Street at 1:49 a.m. and didn't locate the victim. During the investigation, police were notified by Ellis Hospital about a man who entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Law enforcement tried interviewing the man at the hospital, but he declined to provide information about how he received his injury. Police said through an investigation and interviews, they believe an unknown suspect shot the man while he was arguing in an adjacent parking lot to the taproom with someone he knew.
