One man dies in Sunday morning Lafayette shooting

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- One man was killed in a Lafayette shooting on Sunday morning, according to Lafayette Police Department.
LPD said they responded to the 100 block of Harrison Drive in response to a shooting at around 4:24 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers said they learned the victim of the shooting was taken to a local hospital by private means prior to their arrival. Officials said they victim later died of his injuries at the hospital.
LPD investigators are on the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
