Grenadiers run past Miami-Middletown, 101-78

NEW ALBANY — IU Southeast shot well, shared the ball and dominated the glass in Saturday’s 101-78 victory over visiting Miami-Middletown.

The Grenadiers won for the third time in four games by shooting 51.9 percent (41 of 79), out-rebounding the Thunderbirds 45-30 and assisting on 19 of their 41 made baskets.

Sophomore guard Ahmad Price (Louisville/Valley) — a late addition to the IUS roster — led all scorers with 25 points. He was 10 for 14 from the floor with six boards, three steals and a pair of assists. The team’s leading scorer, junior guard Glenn Hill Jr. (Louisville/Southern) added a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Senior guard Jared Osborne (Mt. Washington, Ky./Bullitt East) finished with 17.

Junior guard Dylan McCullough came off the Thunderhawk bench for 18 points.

The Grenadiers (7-14, 4-5 RSC) goes to Rio Grande (Ohio) for a makeup game Monday for its next contest. Rio is 10-8 overall and 5-3 in River States Conference play.
